BEE FRIENDLY
We can all do our bit to increase forage for bees and other pollinators whether in our garden, pots or window boxes. Ensuring your plants flower from early spring to late summer will ensure there is a veritable banquet for bees. Why not try planting some of these to ensure a supply of nectar from spring to autumn.

SPRING FLOWERING Snowdrops, Winter Aconite, Crocus, Grape Hyacinth
SUMMER FLOWERING Cosmos, Geraniums, Aster, Sage, Poppies.
LATE FLOWERING Tree Mallow, Ice Plant, Michaelmas Daisy, Red Hot Pokers.

BEE AWARE
There is evidence to suggest that neonicotinoid pesticides, which are common garden products, may be harmful to bees. Think carefully before using chemicals in your garden, and push the government for more research into their impact on bees.

CELEBRATE LOCAL HONEY
Reputed to help prevent Hayfever, the taste of honey also reflects the range of plants that bees forage on, so why not support local beekeepers by buying local honey?
